Welcome to Rimindie. These General Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Rimindie website and the purchase of any products from the independent artisans (“Vendors”) who list their items on our marketplace.

By using this website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Rimindie as a Marketplace

  • The Platform: Rimindie is a marketplace platform. We provide the technology and venue for independent artisans to showcase and sell their niche drums and percussion instruments.
  • The Contract of Sale: When you purchase an item, the legal contract for the sale is directly between you and the Vendor. Rimindie is not a party to that sale but acts as the payment and dispute facilitator.

2. Product Information and Accuracy

  • Handmade Nature: Many products on Rimindie are handmade or boutique. Small variations in wood grain, finish, and sound are characteristics of artisanal craftsmanship and are not considered defects.
  • Availability: All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. If an artisan cannot fulfill an order (e.g., custom build time exceeds expectations), you will be notified and refunded in full.

3. Pricing and Payments

  • Currency: Prices are displayed in Euros (€) unless otherwise specified by your browser settings.
  • Taxes (VAT): For customers within the European Union, VAT is calculated and collected at checkout based on the destination country’s rate (via the OSS/IOSS system).
  • Payment Methods: We accept major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other local payment methods via our secure processor, Stripe.

4. Shipping and Delivery

  • Shipping Responsibility: Each Vendor is responsible for shipping their own products. Shipping costs and estimated delivery times are clearly displayed during checkout.
  • Order Tracking : Vendors are responsible for providing a valid tracking number or shipping confirmation link via the “Customer Note” field in the Vendor Dashboard.
  • Customs and Duties: For international orders (outside the EU), you are the “importer of record” and may be responsible for local import duties, customs fees, and taxes upon arrival.

5. Right of Withdrawal and Returns

  • EU 14-Day Right: In accordance with EU Consumer Rights, customers have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.
  • Exceptions: The right of withdrawal does not apply to products made to your specific specifications or clearly personalized (e.g., a custom-engraved drum or a snare built to your requested dimensions).
  • Return Shipping: Unless the product is defective, the customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping to the artisan.
  • Condition of Return: Product must be returned in original packaging with all accessories (mallets, cases, etc.).

6. Faulty or Damaged Goods

  • Inspection: Please inspect your instrument immediately upon delivery. If the item is damaged during transit, you must notify Rimindie Support within 48 hours.
  • Artisan Warranty: Our Vendors guarantee their craftsmanship. If a product develops a fault due to poor manufacturing, we will facilitate a repair, replacement, or refund with the Vendor.

7. Limitation of Liability

Rimindie is not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of the products listed by Vendors, nor for the truth or accuracy of the listings. However, we vet our artisans to maintain the highest standard of the “Rimindie Collective.”

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Lyon.
