With over 35 years of experience in the music industry, Mattie possesses significant expertise in record production, including recording, mixing, and producing a diverse array of acoustic and traditional genres, complemented by a rich international touring background as a musician, engineer, and tour manager.

His journey into cymbal making began as a way to create the unique cymbals he couldn't find in stores. His ultimate goal is to craft new sounds and assist other drummers in discovering their own unique tone.
